Impression Obsession's New Winter Release

Impression Obsession came out with a wonderful winter release, also for CHA Summer.  You can see the new catalog here.  (Please be patient, as this is a huge catalog to download)  You will not be disappointed though!

Mitra Friant added 3 new designers: Claudia Tenario-Pearl, Hannah Davies, and Joanne Fink.  In addition, Alesa Baker, Gail Green, Gary Robertson and Kalani Allred are back with all brand new designs.

So grab a cold drink, sit back and enjoy!

New Goodies from Hero Arts!

Hero Arts released some fantastic product at CHA Summer!  Boy oh boy, you are going to love it!

Here is a sample of a cling stamp with its matching embossing folder (it will be sold as a set).  What a neat idea!  Stamp the background and then use the embossing folder to "raise" or emboss the image.  People will be wondering, "How did you do that?"

Next are samples of Sizzix dies and matching stamps (that will also be sold in sets).

This time, just stamp your image and then run it through a die cutting machine (such as the Big Shot, the Cuttlebug, etc) and you'll have a perfectly cut image for your project. How simple will that be?  What a time saver!

And for all of you who hate to cut,  (and we know who you are!)  you should be doing the Happy Dance right now!

Check out the video on how to use these stamps with the matching dies.

Hero Arts just e-mailed us and told us that these new items are ready for shipping!  Let me know if you want any of these new items!  Here's the link to the new catalog!  (Please be patient with the link;  you need to wait for the catalog to download)

Enjoy and
Happy Stamping,
Anna

Project Runway .......?

Hello Everyone,
Here's another card I completed using the Hero Arts set, Sew Artsy (CL446).  I'm having lots of fun adding the thread to the bobbin and this time I added May Arts ribbon around the oval that I cut out with a Spellbinders Nestie.  The ribbon is already gathered, so all you have to do is adhere it to your card stock for a very pretty,  fabric looking border.

To age the card stock, I used distress inks; for the background, I used the Hero Arts Lace Background stamp (S5341).

Perfect for one of your sewing buddies or any friend who is into fashion!
Need cards or ideas, check out the calendar for upcoming classes.  There is something for everyone!

Have a wonderful day,
and
Happy Stamping,
Anna

"Sew What's New?"

Today I completed this fun card using the Hero Arts set, Sew Artsy (CL446) and the Envelope Pattern Background stamp (S5507).  I really like the way the threads look and it gives it a lot of dimension.

Interesting Facts About Greeting Cards

I have read that 7 billion cards are sent out each year! Yes, that's billion, with a "B".  Now, that's A LOT of cards!

Consumers spend 17 minutes shopping for the perfect card and RARELY, if ever find it.  Add to that, the time spent getting to and from the store, and the stress, trying to remember to pick up the card.  Quite a bit of wasted time and energy if you ask me.

As paper crafters, we are very lucky.  We can CREATE that perfect, special card
Let's set aside some time today and everyday to create.  Not only will you make that perfect item for your loved one, but creating is great for the soul!

Have a wonderful day and
Happy Stamping,
Anna

Fun in the Sun!

This is another fun card I made with the Hero Arts set, Let's Chill.

Again I used SANDPAPER, this time for the sand, and glossy accents for the beach ball and the sunglasses on the little yellow bird.  Makes me want to grab my bathing suit and head out for the beach!  But for now, having it on my kitchen counter and enjoying it during meals, is putting a big smile on my face.

Have a wonderful, sunshiny day!

Happy 4th of July!

Hope you enjoyed your 4th of July Weekend.

For me, my dad's visit is coming to an end, and so I am enjoying these last precious days.  Today, we visited Bethel Woods and the Woodstock Monument.

Last week when Maria & Gary were also here, we went to the Culinary Institute of America;  I'll post those pictures within a day or two.

For today though, I'd like to share with you what I found when I was visiting  Mark Lipinski's Blog. Mark talked about Creative Freedom!  How appropriate for today.

Yes, today we should FREE ourselves from:
I wish
I wish I had time
I should have
I hope this is good
I need to
I want to

YES, let's FREE ourselves because if we listen to this negativity, we will not be able to create.

So, today, just DO !!!  We all know that when we DO, we ALWAYS feel great and so accomplished.

Let's remember that feeling and make it a priority in our lives.  We deserve it and it will make us COMPLETE!

Thanks for stopping by and
Happy Independence Day!
