The New Fall & Christmas Release from Memory Box is Here!

I am so excited!!! The new Fall & Christmas release from Memory Box has arrived!!! It was just a blast opening the two huge boxes and getting my hands on the new stamps. Dave really out did himself this time. The stamps are just great, the paper is beautiful and the card samples are stunning!

I called several people to share in the excitement, but no one was home. But happily, Maryanne got her voice message and came down to see for herself. And she was thrilled to be the first to see all of the goodies! We were just "ahh-ing" over all of the samples! Maryanne can't wait to start her Christmas cards, but first she said she wants ALL of the stamps. Then she was worried that she may be getting "Soni-itis". O-oh.....we all know where that's going!

I took some pictures; first of just everything out of the boxes and then of the completed display. When I came home, I had to make a quick slide show for you. What a fun and exciting day!

Don't forget that we are one of the first stores that has this new release.
Hope you'll be able to stop by and see for yourself! It's just so much better in person!

Very Simple, yet Elegant Cards

I love making cards, but I know that I sometimes, (OK, lots of times) get caught up in techniques, and lots of layering and cutting out images, etc. And then I'm in a bind; I need a card and I run out of time. So, I was inspired by Sherry. I challenged myself to make a few simple cards and here they are.

I have to say, that I am very pleased with the way they came out. They are so simple, yet very pretty and elegant. My two most favorite cards from this group are the lavender one with the Hero Arts big flower and the turquoise butterfly.

I also scheduled this as a class for tomorrow and again for next month. Hope you can join us.

Video of Sherry's Classes!

A Muse Instructor, Sherry Czarnecki, was here yesterday and we just had a ball! She taught 2 classes; Special Copic Techniques and Cards with Different Folds. We used the Amuse "Sea of Love" stamps in both classes; which is just perfect for the summer.

We stamped, colored, laughed, and ate! What more could we have asked for?
Hmm,...........maybe the Copic air compressor as a door prize? Or some adult beverages?
No, it was just fine. We were just high on good old rubber, ink and friends!

Thanks Sherry for a wonderful day! And thank you to all who came and help make the day a huge success!

Sit back and enjoy the video. Hope you'll be able to join us at our next class.
Thanks for stopping by,
Anna

Bridal Shower Invitation

Wouldn't you want to get this gorgeous invitation in the mail? Well, Ronnie Dickman made this for her daughter's bridal shower. What a wonderful job!!! The picture does not do it justice. Believe me, it is so beautiful and elegant.

Ronnie used Amuse card stock that was pale pink on one side and white on the other. She printed the invitation details on the pink side, then cut out the gown, added some punched flowers, crystals and ribbon. The final touch was the special, policy style business size envelope, which has the flap on the top.

Hope this helps you think of different ways to use this kind of card stock. Both Amuse Art Stamps and Memory Box have this "duplex" card stock in many colors. Stop in and see what is available for your next project.

And again, thank you Ronnie for the wonderful card!

These are the ever so popular Tim Holtz Roses. Barbara Thomas took Tim's class when we were away in Boston in March and made this artsy frame decorated with the roses. We are lucky that Barbara will teach this class on Saturday, July 17 at 1:30 PM and give you all the tips she learned from Tim himself! Everyone is very excited about this, so please call the store and reserve your seat.......the class is filling quickly.

Thanks,

Samples from Dave's Classes

These are the samples that Dave sent me! Aren't they just grand! This new Christmas bird is just so cute with it's cap and scarf! And it's done with colored pencils. The blending is fantastic and you really need to see it in person.
This sample is one of the cards you'll make in the watercolor class.

Now, both classes are full! I have started a wait list and if there are enough students, Dave will teach another colored pencils class, on the same day, at 1:30 - 3:30PM. So, if you are still interested in taking a class with Dave, here's your chance. Please call the store and reserve your seat! (Please note, if you need to take the later, colored pencil class, 4-6PM, we may be able to have you switch with someone. Now is the time to reserve your seat!)

Thanks and take care,
Anna

Saturday's Make & Take

As promised, here is tomorrow's Make & Take. You will dry emboss and pierce the parchment paper and get a very pretty, delicate and elegant gift card!

Hope you'll stop by and learn how to make this.
Thanks,
