Cards Using Parchment Craft Techniques

Hello Everyone!
Hope you're enjoying the weather! But, boy oh boy, where has the time gone? It's almost the end of May already.......
Well, I've been working on these two cards using parchment paper and what else...... butterflies! The first scan is pretty good....you can see the detail on the butterfly. The window was made with the new cutting dies from Europe and the pretty paper is from Hanko.
I'm sorry, this scan is a bit light. It was hard to get a good picture of this since it is on a pale, yellow card stock. Hopefully, you can get the idea and layout. Here, too I used the latest cutting die as well as the tiny butterfly punch and embossed flower punches, (all from Europe).

If you like this delicate look, you can try these techniques in the class on Thurs, May 27 or again on June 12.
If you don't have time for a full class, stop by on Sat, June 5th, and make a miniature version during Make and Take Day.

Hope this gives you some inspiration for your project.
Anna

  1. The butterfly is amazing! I can't imagine how you made it so elegant, and this is vellum isn't it?

  2. Thank you Vicky. I used a new metal stencil by Pergamano and was able to dry emboss one of the many butterflies that are on that stencil. Then I pierced the parchment paper (parchment paper is a bit heavier than vellum) for the full effect.
