You Know You're a Stamper When...............

Good Day Everyone, Hope you're inside, safe and warm during this snowstorm. At least it started very early in the morning and hopefully you had the luxury of staying indoors today.

I was checking Twitter, and Hero Arts tweeted: You know you're a stamper when...............
and then asked that you fill in the blank.

Here is a sample of responses. I have to say they were excellent and I can truly relate!


You know you're a stamper when..............

you stay up all night making cards! (And we ALL know who this is!!! Please Ceci, stop pulling all nighters!)

you're at work and your fingers have ink on them from making a card that morning

you buy Baby Wipes even though you don't have a baby

it takes more time to organize your stamps than your kitchen! (*** Love it! This is so true for me! ***)

you get an advertisement in the mail, read a fortune from a fortune cookie, see a different coaster from a restaurant and say...Save that! I can use that on a card! (***I have to stop doing this.........running out of space! And if anyone sees me doing this, PLEASE STOP ME!***)

the guest bathroom sink is surrounded by stamp cleaners and drying stamps!

the ink on your hands matches your outfit!

an idea wakes you in the middle of the night and you can't get back to sleep!

when you remodel your kitchen to the most beautiful room with brand new cabinets with pull out shelves, granite to die for, drawers that close themselves, etc and you wonder if your hubby would notice if you fill them with stamps and accessories!

you have more rubber than your car!

Say So Long to 120 Sullivan St and Hello to our new home!

As you can see, we said so long to 120 Sullivan St this past Sunday. Doesn't it look weird sitting there all empty?

During the crunch time, I thought I would never see it cleaned out. But somehow we did it!!!

Just can't believe how much stuff we had to move!!! I did learn one thing though, --- I am not moving from my house. It would just be too overwhelming!

I thank everyone who helped, especially Anna, Ron and Barbara; they came with pick up trucks and I would not have been able to do it without them. I also want to thank Ceci and Ginny who came and packed when I had no more energy. And everyone who stopped by, thank you again!!!

And now, we can say HELLO to our new home...........

here it is.........don't get scared about the snow. This picture was taken last year.


And now you can see why Zack looks a bit concerned..........wondering what is she doing now?
Well, we had to put everything somewhere........


.................even the garage is full.

But I am happy to say that the display units for the 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock is in place! Yippy! And so is the refrigerator for the classroom area.......rest assured that you will have your water and snacks ready when you'll need them!

I know there's a lot more work ahead, but I feel great and it's a wonderful start!

Simple Elegance

I'm always checking blogs and websites for ideas, and I came across one card where the artist used this large Hero Arts flower and only colored certain stripes red. Here is my take on that flower; I colored the stripes with Copics, R29 and layered it on glossy cardstock that was passed through the Big Shot with the swiss dots embossing folder. I left part of the paper not embossed, and just flat with double lines above and below, so that I could stamp the saying.

Remember, adjust how you place your card stock in the embossing folder. You do not need to emboss the entire piece of paper; some parts can be left un-embossed for a different effect.

Dashing through the Snow!

Thankfully, you will not have to be dashing through the snow tomorrow in order to get to the Christmas Open House. It's going to be sunny, but a bit cold...........so, come in and join the fun!
