The Impression Obsession order came in yesterday, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of the images! Last night I stamped up a sheet of X-press Blending card stock and started coloring with my Copics.
Today I was able to put this "Comfort Cocoa" card together.
Even though this is a Christmas image, I used non traditional Christmas colors. I think that's what I like the most about it. The chocolate colored Bazzill card stock gives it a very warm feeling and you can use it for any winter occasion. Won't this make a nice get well or birthday card? And if you add the I/O saying, "Sweet Christmas Wishes Topped with Love", it becomes a really sweet Christmas card. Impression Obsession also has a stamp that says, "Comforting Cocoa Warms the Soul". Just perfect for this cup of hot chocolate.
To complete the card, I added the JustRite saying "Just for You" and several Swarovski red crystals. I also used the Spellbinders classic ovals and Labels 10 as well as stickles on the cream. The whole card really sparkles!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Glittered Snowflake Card
Creating is the fun part of my job and as you can see from my posts, I've been busy making samples. Actually, last Saturday night I had so many ideas running through my head that I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep until 5AM! (I hate it when that happens.) Thankfully, the week is progressing nicely now.
Today, I used the beautiful Marianne Creatables snowflake die and Elizabeth Crafts micro fine glitter in Canadian Blue and Cool Highlights to create this card. I also embossed the white pearlized cardstock with snowflakes to made the background layer. I finished it off with Swarovski crystals and silver peel offs.
It's quite simple, yet very sparkly and perfect for Christmas.
Have you started making your fall or Christmas cards? Don't put it off..........all of the fall holidays are just around the corner!
Have a wonderful day

A Christmas to Remember
Today I finally got to use the new Hero Arts Holly background stamp with the matching embossing folder! It was very easy to use; you first stamp the image and then put it in the embossing folder, match up the design and run it through your Big Shot machine.
Here's the Christmas card that I made. I stamped the background on that pretty, white pearlized cardstock we all love.
I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder, put it in the embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot. You can see the depth of the design. The wreath and all of the other stamp images are from JustRite, which I colored with my Copics. Lastly, I stickled the images so that they would really pop.
This is truly a neat idea from Hero Arts!
Hope you give these a try!
Have a great day

Fall is Definitely in the Air
There is a definite nip in the air, which means that fall is here. I always hate to see summer go. I just love summer; the warm weather and all of the activities that go with it. Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye and welcome the new season. But with it comes the beautiful colors fall, especially here in the northeast.
Today I finished a fall card using the wonderful micro fine glitter that we all love. I adhered the different colors of glitter into the many parts of the peel off leaves. I also used the new embossing folder, scrollworks and one of my favorite layouts. This layout is simple, yet elegant and works well with so many themes. And to top it all off, it's quick.
And if you want to make your leaves in no time, use only one color of glitter, as Soni did in the card below.
Soni layered the glittered peel off leaf onto embossed cardstock that was sanded and distressed. If you took Sherry's class last fall, you may remember we made a similar card. Soni now took it to another level by adding the glitter and decorative peel offs.
I only wish you were able to see all of the sparkle in these cards. The pictures do not do them justice.
So, put on a sweatshirt, get a cup of hot tea and start making your fall and Thanksgiving Day cards to warm your spirits!
Thanks and

New dies and embossing folders have arrived and I think you are really going to love them!

Many of you have seen the beautiful sample that Outlines had on their blog. Everyone is talking about it. The card was made by Sandy Hulsart and she used Outlines wavy poinsettia and set it on the Cheery Lynn die, called the Cathedral Lace Frame. It's just gorgeous and I am happy to say that I have this beautiful die in stock now.
That's about it for now.

Card Sets in Matching Folder
Today I finished making two card folders for gift cards. I was inspired by Debby and her tutorial on her blog. I changed the measurements to inches and this is what I came up with.
The first one is a Christmas theme and this is the view of the folder when it is closed. I used the JustRite Charming Christmas stamp set with the custom die. I also used Nellie Snellen's Multi Frame Heart Die.
Here is the inside view of the folder. You can see that there are two pockets that can hold the 3 1/2 inch square cards and matching envelops. I used StacyStamps envelope template to make the envelope. All of the coloring was done with Copics.
This is a close up of the card and matching envelope. This would make a great hostess gift during the Christmas season.
This folder is perfect for any occasion. I used the JustRite Smile stamp set and the Spellbinders Classic Circles dies.
If you would like to learn how to make these sets, come and join the class. These make perfect little gifts for teachers and co-workers, just to name a few. (Check the calendar for dates and time)
Hope to see you soon,
Anna

A Round Christmas Card
I completed another Christmas card; this time a round card, using the Grand Scalloped Circles and the Grand Circle Nestabilities. It's always fun to make a uniquely shaped card and it is so easy now with the grand nestabilities.
I also textured the cardstock with embossing folders and colored the wreath and snowman with my Copics. JustRite stamp sets Christmas Trimmings and Holiday Cheer were used.
Stickles was added for that extra sparkle and pop.
Hope this gives you some inspiration for your holiday cards.

More Xmas Cards
Soni did it again! She made these stunning Christmas cards using JustRite Stamps.
The ornament on this card was colored with Copics and Soni layered it on Hero Arts printed cardstock. This cardstock comes in 6 X 6 pads of 36 sheets. They are great for quick backgrounds.
Here are the sets of the JustRite Stamps that Soni used to create these cards. These sets are versatile, coordinate with all the sayings and are cling. You just need to use your regular acrylic blocks and "go to town"!
Let me know if you would like any of these great sets. I will be ordering from JustRite very shortly and I want to make sure that I get enough of everything.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend
