Round Zentangle Card with a Pretty Butterfly

Zentangle is so much fun, relaxing and even addicting.  It seems once you start, you just can't stop.  You want to try more and more patterns (tangles) and see how they can work together.

I decided to make a round card this time and add some color with a pretty butterfly.  I cut out the white "doughnut" from Spellbinders classic circles and covered it with 3 tangles.  I then layered it onto a black scalloped circle and added the butterfly that was colored with Copics.

I think this makes a very unique and pretty gift tag.

Thanks for "stamping" by,

Saturday's Make & Take

As promised, here is tomorrow's Make & Take. You will dry emboss and pierce the parchment paper and get a very pretty, delicate and elegant gift card!

Hope you'll stop by and learn how to make this.
Thanks,

Cards Using Parchment Craft Techniques

Hello Everyone!
Hope you're enjoying the weather! But, boy oh boy, where has the time gone? It's almost the end of May already.......
Well, I've been working on these two cards using parchment paper and what else...... butterflies! The first scan is pretty good....you can see the detail on the butterfly. The window was made with the new cutting dies from Europe and the pretty paper is from Hanko.
I'm sorry, this scan is a bit light. It was hard to get a good picture of this since it is on a pale, yellow card stock. Hopefully, you can get the idea and layout. Here, too I used the latest cutting die as well as the tiny butterfly punch and embossed flower punches, (all from Europe).

If you like this delicate look, you can try these techniques in the class on Thurs, May 27 or again on June 12.
If you don't have time for a full class, stop by on Sat, June 5th, and make a miniature version during Make and Take Day.

Hope this gives you some inspiration for your project.

Thursday's Class

Here's one of the cards you could make in this Thursday's "Spring Cards" class. Again, I had to add butterflies, this time to the Brilliant tree stamp by Memory Box.

More Butterflies!

I don't know what it is with me and butterflies this year.......but I want to add butterflies to everything! Here's the Make & Take that we did. It was very simple, but perfect for spring. We stamped the Memory Box butterfly on printed, Memory Box paper and cut it out and added it to the stamped card. In some of the samples above, I colored the butterflies with Copics. (The little tiny butterfly is from Hero Arts). We added some Stickles for that glitter, so that the butterflies really pop!

Hope you'll try spring cards too!
Thanks for looking!

Butterflies, butterflies and more butterflies!

I was inspired by Jennifer of Hero Arts and her butterfly cards. And so we went for our Copic markers and started coloring. And coloring, and coloring. We made lots of quick and easy cards. And I have to say so myself, they came out great! This is a close up of a card, so you can see the dry embossing that was done with the Cuttlebug folder.
Here's a set of the cards.
And here's a close up of the butterflies, all cut out and ready to be adhered to the card. These butterflies look different than the ones on the cards, since here I used the Outlines butterfly. You can use any butterfly stamp, just as long as there isn't too much black on it.
So, if you like these examples, come and join us for the class. You'll make 4 cards and a holder for them. It makes a perfect gift. I have scheduled classes on Thursday, March 4th and Saturday, March 13th. (You can check the calendar on The Creative Corner's web site and please, don't forget to call to reserve your seat.)
