The Beautiful Anja Border Die

I love these beautiful "Anja" dies by Marianne and this is my latest creation with the Anja border die.

I have always liked the white on white color scheme and have enjoyed creating with it.  Lately  though, I have been very attracted to the white on cream color scheme and this is my interpretation of it.

Besides the Marianne Anja border, I used Marianne Creatable leaves (LR0192), Cheery Lynn Cherry Blossom and Darling Daisy dies, and a Nelle Snellen punch for the tiny flowers.

There is an Anja corner die and I can't wait to complete and post that project for you!

White on White with a bit of Pink

I got this new "Square Frame" die from Joy Crafts and had to make a new card.  The frame is beautiful with all the detail, a bit of lattice work and the dry embossing.  And since I love the white on white look, I started the new project with that theme in mind and am very pleased with the results.  I ended up making a birthday card, but this easily lends itself to a pretty wedding or anniversary card.

Here is another view of the card,  Hopefully you can see all of the dimension. (Of course the card looks so much better in real life.)

I used Cheery Lynn dies for the butterfly and the flowers.  (The flowers were the Cherry Blossom dies).  I added the leafy flourish from Marianne and used the Nellie Snellen punches for the 3-D leaves.

Let me know if you want the new Square Frame.  I can mail it out to you in no time!  You are going to love it!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Beautiful Bridal Card

Today I finally was able to finish this very pretty bridal card.  The card already comes pre-made with the bridal dress cut out, a pretty layer of netting inserted for the dress as well as a floral design dry embossed around the dress.

As you can see, the card is very pretty just left the way it comes out of the package.

I wanted to spiffy it up a bit, so I added a whole bunch of punched flowers and leaves.  I stayed with the creamy white color scheme and only added a bit of pink and pale green.  I used Nellie's Choice floral embossing & punch sets: FLP022 & FLP027, Nellie's leafy branch punch, FLP008 (I cut off the tiny leaves and used them separately), and tiny flower/butterfly twin punch, TMP001.

Here is the completed card with small pearls that were made with the Viva Decor Pearl pen and of course a bit of stickles.

I really like the way this came together; very elegant with just a taste of color.

I hope you can see the detail of all the flowers and pearls in this photograph.  Remember, if you click on the photo, a new window will open with a larger view of the photo!

These creamy white "Pontura" cards come in many designs.  You get 3 cards and envelopes in the package and you can decorate them to your liking.  The three tier wedding cake card would also look fabulous decorated with punched flowers in the wedding's color scheme.  These cards are in stock and the perfect way to personalize a wedding or bridal shower card.  There is also a great floppy hat that you can decorate to your heart's content. The possibilities are endless!

I have to say that punching out all these flowers and layering them was very relaxing and therapeutic! I felt as though a was lost in these beautiful flowers.  A truly stress free way to spend the afternoon!

Looking forward to sharing more of these with you,

"True Love" Heart Card

When I think of lattices, I see gardens and weddings.  This is what I tried to convey in this card; a pretty spring or summer wedding in a garden decorated with a white lattice covered with pretty flowers.

I used several Cheery Lynn dies here:  Two of Hearts, French Lattice (small), Cuties 2, and Fanciful Flourish.  The saying is an Impression Obsession stamp and I made "pearls" with the Bronze, Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

Hope you are having a nice Valentine's Day!
See you soon,

A Tower of Pretty Handmade Boxes

I really like the way my tower of boxes turned out!  Wouldn't you say they came out so dainty and a perfect gift for Valentine's Day?

Here is a close up of the lace die cut that I cut with a beautiful Cheery Lynn die.  It truly made this whole set so delicate, dainty and girly!

For the top flower, I used the new Cheery Lynn cuties 4 die and layered it on the pretty Marianne Creatables leaves LR0192.  I used a Viva Decor pearl pen in salmon color, for the center of the flower.

I also think that this would make a great center piece for a Bridal Shower table.  I would make several of these towers and line them down the center of the table.  Each guest could receive just one small box as a party favor; you may raffle off the towers to some lucky winners, or give them as prizes to winners of the bridal games.   I'm sure you can think up even more ways to showcase this set!

I wanted to make a matching card, so I went with a very clean and simple design.  I cut two extra lace strips and just added it to the card!  I used Spellbinders ovals to showcase the saying (Savvy Stamps) and added some "pearls" with the Vica Decor pearl pen.

Join us on Saturday, February 11th, at 1PM and make this wonderful set.  It will be just in time for Valentine's Day!

Beautiful Wedding Card by Soni Larson!

Just another gorgeous card by Soni Larson! What more can I say?  Just that it looks BETTER in real life!

To make this creation, Soni used silver as well as the beautiful white pearlized cardstock.  Both were run through the Big Shot machine using the damask embossing folder.  She also used several dies; the folk birds,  the rosebud, fancy tags and the eastern oval multi frame. The bow was made with the new bow maker.

Any newly wed couple would treasure this.  It would also make a wonderful Anniversary card.

If you need any of these supplies, just let me know.  They can easily be shipped to you today!

Thanks for stopping by,

We had a blast !

Yes, we all had a blast Saturday at the Wedding Class.  We shared our views about the beautiful Royal Couple, learned all sorts of tit bits, had pastries with tea and made 4 fabulous cards!  Oh yes, and we listened to a whole bunch of wedding songs.  What more could we have asked for?

Here we see everyone concentrating on their coloring.

But we still had time for goodies and tea!

While we were making some of the cards, this table held the pieces that needed to dry. Nice to have the extra space!

If you missed out on the fun, join us on Thursday, June 16, at 1PM for a repeat performance!  Please call to reserve your seat today!  You will not be disappointed.

In Honor of Will & Kate's Wedding

Today I was one of the millions who got up early to see the Royal Wedding!  I can't believe that Will was getting married, when it doesn't seem that long ago that I was doing the same thing to see Diana and Charles.

Will and Kate made a beautiful couple.  Kate looked spectacular and her dress was just gorgeous.  Will looked so handsome.  And I have to say,  Harry looked AWESOME and so cute when he took a peek at Kate when she was walking down the aisle.

And so,  here is a "Fairy Tale" card for this very fairy tale couple.

I just thought this Impression Obsession stamp was perfect for today!  I colored it with watercolor pencils and a dove pen.  (Unfortunately, you can't see the sparkle from the stickle accents and the shimmer from the shimmer spritz.)  I also ran the white pearlized cardstock  through the Big Shot using a beautiful damask embossing folder.  For the inside saying, I used another Impression Obsession stamp that said, "And they lived happily ever after".

This is also the final card for the Wedding Card class, which will be held tomorrow.  I had so much fun creating these wedding cards.  And I thank you for all of your wonderful e-mails about the cards!

Have a wonderful evening,
Anna

Beautiful Wedding Invitation Set

Hello Everyone!

Nancy Wanser stopped by and gave me the wedding invitation and table settings she made fro her daughter's wedding last month. Everything was colored coordinated and it all came out beautiful. Both Julie and Nancy were very happy and they got lots of well deserved compliments!

This first picture is of the invitation, favor box, table number card and a place setting card.

Nancy and Julie came to the shop and looked through swatches of paper to come up with the color combination. She knew she wanted browns and coppers for her fall wedding.

And thankfully I was able to get them this pretty chocolate metallic finish cardstock as well as the copper metallic, both with a gorgeous shimmer to it.

Nancy came up with the wording and the font and brought it to her printer with all of the cardstock. He did the printing, as she did not want to sit and print all of them.

If you need a lot printed, this is a great way to go.........you can pick your paper and all, and have a printer just do the printing for a nominal fee. He also printed the envelopes and the RSVP envelopes........it was a great savings of time!

Now, when Nancy got the work back from the printer, she just stamped the corners with a pretty Hero Arts heart flourish, mounted it on the copper and added the Swarovski crystals.

Next she had to tape the pocket on the holder and then placed everything inside, and added a pretty punched heart to the closing tab. (These wedding invitation holders come cut and scored!!! Another beautiful and professional addition to the set)

Here is a close up of the pyramid favor box, again in the chocolate metallic cardstock, simply heat embossed in gold and tied with a pretty gold cord.

Now, when Ceci cuts these boxes for you, you have a lot of scraps............and you USE them.

Nancy, punched out the table numbers in two sizes - large for the table card and then the small one for the place setting card.

These are some of the great ideas you can get at the Creative Corner for your next big event. Don't be afraid to stop by and get inspiration from our team. Don't forget, two or more heads are better than one. We are always ready to help.

Bridal Shower Invitation

Wouldn't you want to get this gorgeous invitation in the mail? Well, Ronnie Dickman made this for her daughter's bridal shower. What a wonderful job!!! The picture does not do it justice. Believe me, it is so beautiful and elegant.

Ronnie used Amuse card stock that was pale pink on one side and white on the other. She printed the invitation details on the pink side, then cut out the gown, added some punched flowers, crystals and ribbon. The final touch was the special, policy style business size envelope, which has the flap on the top.

Hope this helps you think of different ways to use this kind of card stock. Both Amuse Art Stamps and Memory Box have this "duplex" card stock in many colors. Stop in and see what is available for your next project.

And again, thank you Ronnie for the wonderful card!

Wedding Card

I really like the way this wedding card came out and you can make it in the "Gorgeous Wedding Cards" class. I cut white pearlized card stock with the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis pendant and borderabilities and used stamps from Outlines and A-muse. The finishing touch were the clear Swarovski crystals. The crystals truly sparkle in real life as does the pearlized card stock!
This card also makes a great anniversary card.
Hope you can join us for this great class!

We're Back from Canada!

Soni and I were in Canada again this past weekend. It's a long trip but it was great....we got to see lots of new stuff and we made more cards! Here is just a sample of what we made. This first card is great for a wedding. It's called a "Pyramid 3-D" card and we also used these new flower punches that embossed the vellum. The edges of the card were pierced and embossed.

I just love this seaside scene.....it's so sweet and delicate.

The new punch that also embossed these flowers worked really well on cardstock.
For this card, we first cut out the window with the new die, used acetate for the window and decorated the card with fish peel offs that were colored with alcohol markers. The window is unique with the scalloped edge and tiny triangles. The tag below the card is what is also cut with the die......you get the window opening and the tag. These new dies are from Europe and they work like the Nestabilities. Check out some more pictures of these dies.

I will have a Show & Tell on Thursday, April 29, at 1PM, and on Saturday, May 1 at 11AM, so that you will be able to see all of the cards and new product from Canada. Hope you'll be able to come and join the fun. We'll also have a Make & Take that day!
