Today is Wednesday, and I hope all of you are safe and things are returning back to normal after Irene. I lost power for 2 days but thanks to wonderful friends, I stayed at Soni's Monday night. Thankfully I did not have any damage.
Now that fall is approaching, hope you will start thinking about your craft projects. Here are two gorgeous cards that Soni made with the Elizabeth Crafts micro fine glitter.
This Thanksgiving Day card really sparkles. It's such a simple card, yet makes a big impact! (Soni used JustRite Stamps for the saying and the frame.)
This card was colored with Copics over the highlights glitter. Again, a very simple design but just fabulous! You really need to see these cards in real life. The pictures do not do them justice.
Now that I have power, you'll be happy to know that I submitted the glitter order and shortly you'll be able to make these kinds of cards also. Lots of new colors will be in, such as apricot, poppy orange, apple red, Canadian blue, hunter green and more. Just think fall leaves, Christmas poinsettias, and snowmen. It'll be here before we know it!
Thanks for stopping by and
Happy Stamping,
Anna

Black and White with a Touch of Red
I am just loving the JustRite Smile stamp set. Today, I made another card with the set; this time with a different color combination. It is mainly black and white with a bit of red for accent.
The sparkly red dots are peel offs; they look great and there is not much depth to them, so they will be great when it's time to mail this card.
The butterflies were cut from a Joy die cut set and the background stamp is the Hero Arts Envelop Pattern; a very versatile stamp.

Smile
The new stamps from JustRite arrived last week and I couldn't wait to use the Smile set. I just love all of the sayings in this set and I can see making some nice card sets with them.
I took out my Copics and actually made a few different colored borders. Above, is just one color combo. And below you can see some other ones.
These extra wide borders are very unique; they are a nice, thick, artistic border. You can interchange the sayings with the different borders, making it very versatile. Plus, you can use the sayings with other borders from other JustRite stamp sets. The combinations and possibilities are endless! The best part is that they coordinate with the Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities, which make it very easy to cut out all of the pieces. The finished look is very professional.
Give these a try, I think you'll really like them!

Stacy's Classes
Thank you Stacy for the wonderful classes you held for us on Saturday. You had some great ideas and techniques, especially using your new wreath and stocking stamps. Everyone just loved everything they made!
Here are some pictures from the classes.
And here are some pictures of the sample boards that Stacy brought with her.
Everyone found it so clever to make the fireplace card above from Stacy's border stamp, a brick embossing folder, holly stamp, and of course the stocking stamps.
The wreath stamp is truly very versatile. Look at all of these samples; add berries, use Christmas colors, and you have a fabulous Christmas card.
Add flowers or sea shells to the wreath and you get another look.
Add punched leaves and you have perfect card for autumn.
Lastly, cut up the wreath and you get a creative border.
And here are two more samples made with the stockings stamps.
Thanks again Stacy for the fabulous classes. Looking forward to your next visit!

More with Stacy's Floral Minis
I finished making a whole bunch of bookmarks using Stacy's Floral Minis. I colored the flowers with Copics, embossed the sayings with white embossing powder and added stickles for the finishing touch. I love it when I have completed a set of something; it's always fun to lay it all out, stand back and admire the work.
The sayings on the bookmarks are from the Nature Nested Sentiments and Verse Set from JustRite.
You can use these sayings throughout the year and best of all, they are on sale right now for only $6 a set. What a deal! (Stop by and get yours today!)
As you can see, the floral minis are so much fun to work with. You can click here to see some cards I made with them last year. And here I used the floral minis to decorate "pillow boxes" filled with Hershey Kisses. These make great party favors.
If you are coming to Stacy's classes on Saturday, you will get a bookmark as a thank you from me.
Hope this inspires you to use your stamps to make something other than cards. Remember, you can always make a coordinating card or gift tag for your non-card project. That would make it really special.

Great Gift Containers
Hello Everyone,
I was in Walmart today and found these great ball jars used for preserving food.
First, they are made in the USA! They feature a glass construction with metal lids and are freezer safe. They come in many sizes, but I picked up the 8 oz and 4 oz jars. They come 12 jars to a package and best of all, they are less than $1.00 a jar!
Being the crafter that I am, my first thoughts went to "What a great gift container!" I can see filling it with candy, or fresh tea and adding beautiful ribbon, paper, and stamped tags to personalize it.
They would also make perfect party favors or a thank you to a co-worker. Think Christmas hostess gifts. The possibilities are endless.
Check back soon. I just need some time now to make some samples for you! But YOU can post pictures of what you make on the Creative Corner's Facebook page! I know that everyone would love to see what you come up with. We can all share our ideas there!
Looking forward to seeing your creations,

Christmas Magic
Today I got my hands on the new reindeer and sleigh dies from Marianne Creatables and finished another Christmas card. The old fashioned sleigh is quite detailed and so pretty.
Unfortunately, the batteries died in my camera and they are not the rechargeable ones, so I had to scan the card. Since it is a long and narrow one (fits a business size envelope), the ends of the card were cut off by the scanner. But I think you can see that the base of the card is white and I layered it with navy cardstock that was embossed with a star embossing folder. The stamps are from the JustRite set, Charming Christmas.
For the finishing touches, I added silver star peel offs, silver thread and ribbon, silver Krylon pen for the edging, and lastly a red crystal for Rudolph's nose!
Hope this gets you into the Christmas spirit!

JustRite Christmas
There's nothing like getting a new Christmas stamp set to get you in the mood for Christmas cards! This was the case yesterday when the new stamps arrived from JustRite. After checking in the order, I stamped several images and after dinner I sat down with my Copics and colored and colored and colored!
Today, I used two of the colored images and completed the following cards
This card is so dainty; I just love it!
This heart is from the "Charming Christmas" cling set and the large white doily is cut from the Cheery Lynn die, "French Pastry". The smaller, red doily is from a Nellie Snellen set (MDF020).
Now, the neat thing about this stamp set is that there is a Spellbinders die set that match the stamps.
The die set is called Custom Charms and they are in stock now! (You can see pictures of these two new sets below the card samples)
I just love the stamps! They are so cute and you can interchange the sayings to really personalize your card. There are so many ideas dancing around in my head; just need the time to get them all done!
For the inside of the card, I cut another white doily from the Nellie Snellen set and punched a tiny heart from Marvy.
I used two different charms for this card and made the little rose from the Creatables Rosebud die set. It doesn't show up well in the photo, but I sprayed the charms and the rose with Shimmer Spritz; it gave it a beautiful shimmery shine, perfect for Christmas.

Beautiful Wedding Card by Soni Larson!
Just another gorgeous card by Soni Larson! What more can I say? Just that it looks BETTER in real life!
To make this creation, Soni used silver as well as the beautiful white pearlized cardstock. Both were run through the Big Shot machine using the damask embossing folder. She also used several dies; the folk birds, the rosebud, fancy tags and the eastern oval multi frame. The bow was made with the new bow maker.
Any newly wed couple would treasure this. It would also make a wonderful Anniversary card.
If you need any of these supplies, just let me know. They can easily be shipped to you today!
